Policies and Procedures
Please be sure to read through all of our Enrichment Class Policies before registering your child. 

Permanent Parent Chaperon
If you are able to chaperon all weeks of your child's class, we will be offering that family free tuition for one student in that class in return. If you are interested in being a Permanent Parent Chaperon please email us at enrichmentclasses@redmondelptsa.org! This is a first come, first serve volunteer role.

Refund Policy
Refunds are based on when the cancellation is received. Cancellations requests received:
• On or before April 8, will receive a full refund.
• After April 8, refunds are done at the discretion of the vendor at the vendors rate.
• No refunds will be given after 60 days of initial class registration.
• There are no refunds for missed classes. Snow days will be made up if possible.

Scholarships (Requests due March 29)
The Redmond El PTSA has a limited number of financial need-based scholarships available. To request a scholarship or to obtain more information, please email the Enrichment Classes Coordinator at enrichmentclasses@redmondelptsa.org by March 29. Requests will be reviewed in the order that they were received and applicants will be notified through email.

Drama Kids

NOW CASTING! Be part of the highly anticipated Drama Kids Spring Production! Each child will be a STAR in the Spring Production and they will experience a full length, fully produced performance at a local theater. This will be an absolute BLAST whether you've taken a million drama classes or none at all.

Flag Football

Skyhawks Sports Academy provides sports programs where children discover and develop athletic skills and social values, such as teamwork, respect and sportsmanship. We offer children a positive sports experience while promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. Boys and girls learn skills on both sides of the football including the core components of passing, catching and defense - all in a fun and positive environment.

Beginning/Continuing Group Guitar

Group Guitar for all levels. This class covers the basics for beginner students and delves deeper for continuing guitar students. Hone your guitar skills with founder/president of Dace's Rock 'n' More Music Academy, Dace Anderson. Students are not required to own their own guitar; guitars will be provided in class. All skill levels are welcome.

Minecraft MODS

In TechVenture Kids’ LEARN TO MOD Code Club, your kids explore how to change their Minecraft world, how to mod it! Working in ThoughtSTEM’s powerful online environment, students learn coding concepts that give them the power to build new ideas & implement them in their very own Minecraft world. Students learn to code with visual building blocks through a series of tutorials, puzzles and group discussions!

Speak Easy

Isn't learning how to captivate an audience a great skill to have at any age? Public speaking is one of most people’s greatest fears so why not learn what it takes to be a great speaker at an early age when it's easiest to overcome fears! Through engaging, interactive games and fun activities, you and your classmates will learn and practice the following skills:
* Learn how to WOW an audience with public speaking techniques.
* Improvisation-sometimes acting goofy is the best way to overcome fears.
* Team building and leading others
* Explore key methods to become a leader in family, school, community and life.
This class is all about inspiring kids to do great things! And the best part is that it is fun, too! Join us for this fun and inspiring class!

Cartooniversity

Learn cartoon drawing skills in this fun-filled after school workshop, sponsored by Redmond Elementary PTSA. Join us for this unique opportunity to learn all aspects of cartoon drawing. Techniques covered include character development, expressions, action/movement, layout, background, perspective and much more. The class emphasizes developing each student’s own style in a positive, encouraging environment. The classes are taught by local professional cartoonist Jeff Johnson.

Little Coders

Jump start your child’s STEAM education with Coding with Kids’ Little Coders class!  Students will develop their computational thinking skills and build their own creative programs.  Our curriculum combines a blend of fun activities - both "on-screen" and “off-screen” - to keep students engaged and excited about coding.  This class will give students a strong foundation on coding basics, such as loops and conditionals, that can be built upon in our other classes.  Kids will be introduced to these programming fundamentals in a variety of ways appropriate for this age group, from coding puzzles and board games to hands-on programming using online drag-and-drop tools, such as Scratch (scratch.mit.edu).

Art - Drawing and Painting

Hosted by Museo Art Academy, this class offers students new opportunities to work in a variety of drawing materials, learning several fundamental drawing processes that enhance their ability to accurately draw what they observe and imagine. Through a series of step-by-step lessons, they’ll build their rendering skills and creative self-confidence. Students will also have fun developing and refining their painting skills as they learn about the elements of visual art through applied design principles. Each new session of this class presents students with new, exciting projects and curriculum to continually challenge their skills. All grades are welcome to this creative class. Questions? Chess

Chess4Life brings an excellent program with a positive learning environment to Redmond Elementary. Chess study has shown to increase math skills, concentration, memory, and self-confidence. Classes are tailored to the level of competency exhibited among the students. All students, of any skill level, are welcome.
