Policies and Procedures
Please be sure to read through all of our Enrichment Class Policies before registering your child. 

Permanent Parent Chaperon
If you are able to chaperon all weeks of your child's class, we will be offering that family free tuition for one student in that class in return. If you are interested in being a Permanent Parent Chaperon please email us at!

Refund Policy
Refunds are based on when the cancellation is received. Cancellations requests received:
On or before December 11th will receive a full refund.
• After December 11th, refunds are done at the discretion of the vendor at the vendors rate.
• No refunds will be given after 60 days of initial class registration.
• There are no refunds for missed classes. Snow days will be made up if possible.

The Redmond El PTSA has a limited number of financial need-based scholarships available. One scholarship for one enrichment class, per child, per year is allowed. Class Descriptions

Drama: Self Expression

A place where you can be yourself. Drama Kids offers exciting programs. Kids who take our classes have tons of fun and develop important confidence-building skills that will help them personally and academically. Activities include improvisations, mini-scripts, speaking sills, character analysis, theater games, creative movement and performance. If you want your child to get a jump on achievement, enroll them today.

Beginning/Continuing Group Guitar

Group Guitar for all levels. This class covers the basics for beginner students and delves deeper for continuing guitar students. Hone your guitar skills with founder/president of Dace's Rock 'n' More Music Academy, Dace Anderson. Students are not required to own their own guitar; guitars will be provided in class. All skill levels are welcome.

Aspiring Authors

Do you love to tell stories? Do you desire the freedom to create? Do you have a passion for books? Do you want professional results? Then this adventure is for you! Using a unique two brain approach in a positive and friendly environment, students are inspired to write and “publish" their own books.This is a fun and challenging eight week adventure where each student will be an author, editor, and artist "hired" by the publishing company to create their masterpieces. As a company, we will assemble and bind the books creating professional results.* Students will learn how to use the elements of story building to captivate their readers and enhance their illustrations to make their words come alive. Their books will be a treasure to cherish. In a culminating activity, we will have the last class with parents and friends to "Celebrate the Authors".

Game Development - Beginner/Intermediate Split Level Class

Do you play games and wonder how they are created?  Would you like to build your own computer programs?  Come learn how at the Coding with Kids Academy!  In this fun after-school class, BEGINNERS will be introduced to the core concepts of computer programming, including loops, conditionals and variables.  INTERMEDIATE students will move on to more advanced concepts, such as nested conditionals and functions with parameters. Using the Scratch development environment, you will learn how to create a variety of programs, from simple animations to multi-level games.  With new projects each session, you will be able to express your creativity and advance as a coder!

Cheerleading CANCELLED

Each Class will consist of skill development of various cheerleading elements, including: warm-up and stretching, motion Workshop, cheers, jump technique, dance choreography, basic tumbling and stunting, strength and conditioning, and routine choreography. Guest coaching from local high school cheerleaders.

Travis Anderson has over 20 years of successful cheerleading experience, including college, high school, middle school, All-Star, and rec. league. He was a 4 year cheerleader and 2 year captain at UW, as well as a cheerleader at the University of Tennessee. He was the former Head Coach of 2 time State Champs Action Xtreme and 2006 Head Tumbling Coach for Galaxy Cheer. Currently, he teaches camps, clinics and tumbling and cheer technique for several high schools and all-star programs. He has competed in College and Open National Championships, including World’s and Partner Stunt National Championships and most recently has competed on the South Elite Titans Open Coed team.

Apprentice Electrical Engineering 

Although electrical engineering has not been around as long as some of the other engineering disciplines, our world would be vastly different without electrical engineers. Items from simple radios to computers to cars all run on electricity. The curriculum for the Electrical Engineering program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of circuit design, building, and maintenance through exciting hands-on activities. Students will learn and build basic circuits, levitrons, wind turbines, and even their very own working flashlight. Come join us and discover how electricity can change our world.

Chess4Life brings an excellent program with a positive learning environment to Redmond Elementary. Chess study has shown to increase math skills, concentration, memory, and self-confidence.
